Sarah Clark (d. 1819) was the wife of John Clark. She joined Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Orange (now Alamance) County, North Carolina in 1798. John and Sarah Clark and their family removed to Wayne County, Indiana in 1808/9, where they were early members of Whitewater Meeting. Sarah died in 1819 in Wayne County.

Henry Clay was the National Republican candidate for President of the United States in 1832. He lost to Andrew Jackson.

Elijah Coffin (1798-1862) was the leading figure in Indiana Yearly Meeting of Friends for a generation. He was born in 1798 in North Carolina. He was a son of Bethuel and Hannah Coffin. He married Naomi Hiatt in 1820 at New Garden Monthly Meeting in Guilford County. Naomi Hiatt was a daughter of Benajah & Elizabeth (White) Hiatt. She was born in 1797. Elijah was the Presiding Clerk of North Carolina Yearly Meeting in 1822 and 1823. Elijah and Naomi were charter members of Hopewell Monthly Meeting in 1824. In 1824, they removed to Milton, Wayne County, Indiana, where they were members of Milford Monthly Meeting. Elijah was the postmaster for the town of Milton. He became Presiding Clerk of Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1827. In 1833 they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, but returned to Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana in 1835. Elijah was engaged in banking and continued to serve as Presiding Clerk of Indiana Yearly Meeting until the close of the 1857 session. He died in 1862. Naomi died in 1866. Both are buried in the Earlham Cemetery.

Katherine Coffin was a minister present at Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1830.

Matthew Coffin (1754-1832) was a son of William and Priscilla Coffin. He was born in 1754 in Guilford County, North Carolina. He married Hannah Mendenhall (1757-1800) at Springfield Meeting in Guilford County. He married second to Hannah (White) Macy (1762/3-1833) in 1802 at New Garden. Hannah was the widow of David Macy and a daughter of Isaac and Catherine White. In 1817 they removed to Blue River Monthly Meeting in Washington County, Indiana from Springfield Monthly Meeting. They joined the Hicksites after the Separation of 1827-28. Matthew died in 1832. Hannah died in 1833. They are buried in Blue River Burying Ground.

Zachariah Coffin is presumed to be Zacharias Coffin (1782-1845). Zacharias was born in North Carolina in 1782 and was a son of Bethuel and Hannah Coffin. He married Phebe Starbuck in 1803 at New Garden Monthly Meeting in North Carolina. She was born in 1782 and was a daughter of William and Jane Starbuck. Zacharias and Phebe were members of Dover Monthly Meeting until 1816, when they transferred to Deep River Monthly Meeting in Guilford County. They removed to Walnut Ridge Monthly Meeting in Rush County, Indiana in 1839. Zacharias died in 1845. Phebe died in 1852. They are buried in the Westland Friends Burying Ground in Hancock County, Indiana.

Elizabeth Coggeshall was the wife of Caleb Coggeshall and a member of New York Monthly Meeting. She died in 1851 in New York.

Charles Collins (c1774-1843) was a member of New York Monthly Meeting. He and his wife, Margaret, were disowned in 1829, probably for joining the Hicksite Friends. He died 1843 at age 69. Margaret died in 1850.

Micajah Collins was a Friend of New England Yearly Meeting.

Dinah Cook was a minister present at Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1830.

Priscilla Cook was a member and assistant clerk of Western Branch Monthly Meeting in Virginia.

Benjamin Copeland (1797-1865) was a son of Eli and Ann Copeland of Rich Square Monthly Meeting in Northampton County, North Carolina. He married Rebecca Parker in 1818 at Rich Square. She died in 1837. Benjamin was named an elder in 1834. He married Martha Ann Hall in 1838 at Rich Square. She was a daughter of Ann Hall. Benjamin died in 1865. Martha died in 1873.

Eli Copeland (1758-1831) was an elder of Rich Square Monthly Meeting. He was a son of John and Mary Copeland of Hertford County, North Carolina. He married Sarah Walton in 1817 under the care of Rich Square Monthly Meeting. She was a daughter of George and Sarah Walton of Perquimans County. She married William Outland in 1835 and died in 1842 near Rich Square.

Eli Copeland (1812-1845) was a son of William and Judith (Parker) Copeland. He was born in 1812 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He died in 1845 at Rich Square.

Elwood Copeland (b. 1815) was a son of William and Judith (Parker) Copeland. He was born in 1815 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was disowned by Rich Square Monthly Meeting in 1834.

Judith (Parker) Copeland (1776-1828) was a sister of Josiah Parker. She was born in 1776 in Northampton County and was the daughter of Josiah and Sarah Parker. She married William Copeland in 1795 at Rich Square. He died in 1815. Judith died in 1828. Their children were Jane (1796), Pherby (1798), Jonathan (1800), David (1802), Ann (1804), Jesse (1806), William (1818), Eli (1812), and Elwood (1815).

William Copeland (b. 1810) was a son of William and Judith (Parker) Copeland. He was born in 1810 in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was disowned in 1829 by Rich Square Monthly Meeting for marrying out of the Society of Friends.

Aaron Coppock was a minister present at Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1830.

Israel Corse was a son of David and Elizabeth Corse of New York. He married Lydia Troth, a daughter of William and Lydia Troth. Lydia died in New York in 1808. Israel married Abigail Doty, daughter of Comfort and Elizabeth Doty, in 1810 under New York Monthly Meeting. Israel was disowned in 1829, probably for joining the Hicksites.

Winney (Patterson) Crew may have been the Winney referred to in the letters. She was a daughter of John Patterson. She joined Jack Swamp Meeting in Northampton County in 1778. She married Robert Crew, a son of Josiah Crew, in 1787 at Jack Swamp.

John Davis was a minister present at Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1830.

Samuel Edgerton was a minister present at Indiana Yearly Meeting in 1830.

Arnold Elliott (b. 1829) was a son of Hannah Elliott.

John Merchen Elliott (b. 1827) was a son of Hannah Elliott.

Sarah Elliott (1767-1828) was a first cousin of Josiah Parker. She was born in 1767 in North Carolina. She married Benoni Park in 1786 at Perquimans Monthly Meeting. In 1790, after the death of Benoni, she married Francis Elliott at Perquimans. Both were disowned in 1791 by Piney Woods Monthy Meeting. They were received in membership again in 1797 at Rich Square after condemning their previous misconduct. Sarah was later an elder in Rich Square Monthly Meeting. Francis died in 1804. Sarah died in 1828.
